Happy Norooz everyone! =) Tomorrow night is the beginning of year 2570 [1390] of the Persian solar calendar. Winter is officially over, and Monday is the first day of spring, even though Zürich was freezing cold today. =P So make sure to have as much sweets and cookies as you can in the next few days, visit your friends and family and pass around some gifts. 😉
My 7sin is pretty much ready, even though some of the items are impossible to get around here due to the lack of a Persian community of any sort. My mom sent me most of what I couldn’t find here from Toronto. But I wasn’t able to get my hands on Samanoo at the end so we’re going to make some chocolate cream and imagine it’s Samanoo. =P
I have to admit though, I have all sorts of mixed feelings right now. The “situation” in Iran has made it very difficult for many people over there to celebrate anything, and I feel the weight of that inside of me…. and of course my mom’s not where I am this year, which really totally sucks. But I’m trying to make the best out of a … well… very complicated situation, and hope for the best in 2570.
Norooz…. it’s here again. =) Time goes by fast, doesn’t it? Well, I have to admit, it’s been a very interesting year. A lot of interesting events happened this year, in many various contexts and directions. And from what I see right now, the coming year is probably going to be even more adventurous. Some crazy things are in the making, lets just say that for now. 😉

Tomorrow morning @ 7:44 Toronto time, the new Persian calendar year 2568 [1388] begins. Apparently this will be a year of the “Cow”, which supposedly means that it’s going to be a good year. =) Well I really do hope so! Cause from what I see… some very important events may occur in this year! 😉

Yup, it’s that time of the year again. When you don’t exactly need a calendar to tell you that the year is getting renewed, you can just feel it in the air. Or at least you’re supposed to, unless like me you’re stuck in the cold of Toronto. On Thursday [March 20th], 01:48:19 AM, year 2567 (1387) of the Persian calendar begins. From what I already know, this year is going to be one of _THE_ most important years of my life. Full of ups and downs and adventures. There’s much that’s about to happen, and I’m very much looking forward to everything. I hope that this year is going to be a good year for all of us, and although I have my doubts as to whether the current “situation” in Iran is going to change in any positive way, but I’ll still keep my figures crossed. So happy new year everyone, and best wishes from me, Ahoo, Aasemoon.

1384….Going to school on Monday March 21st was the most painful thing to do. I’m supposed to have 13 dayz off….ah….& even worse than that was not being able to run around and say happy new year to everyone without people thinking that u’ve lost your mind. It was only about 1:00 PM when I got some break from all the weirdness….I saw my friend Shiba by accident & given that she’z Persian too I finally got the chance to say happy new year to someone & hear it back…..ah….what a pleasure! U think I’m sounding silly? Well u gotta believe me that’z the way it is….. It’z difficult when it’z your new year & not anyone else’z. & if I thought that was unfair…well…that was just the beginning. Apparently because of the beginning of the new year everyone & everything have decided to show me their tough side. Everyone who’s had expectationz before, have tripled it now. Anyone who was tough to deal with before seemz to have gone exponential on me now. What’z with u people? Give me a break I do deserve it! Stop asking me for miraclez, I’m just a human being! Stop acting like I’m responsible for everything! Stop with the power lecturez I’m not trying to challenge anyone or “outsmart” anyone….I’m just not like that….& oh yeah stop asking me to FLY! Well….this is the beginning of 1384….God help me with the rest of it…
