So this running gag of uncertain origins has finally landed on Facebook, and even has it’s own fan page now. =P Not that I have a clue as to who created the page, but here it is, the online testament to the apparent fact that it’s all my fault. Check it out! =P
So I finally got around to uploading some photos from the past couple of weeks. They’re in this album. Also, I’m usually not much for showing off but in this case I absolutely have to. =) You may notice my very pretty shirt in few of a photos including this mandatory exit shot. Well, this was my birthday gift from an awesome friend and the print design is his own. You can check out Frank’s online shop here, he has some really fantastic designs. =)

So I’m currently having fun since my cousin Pooneh and her kids are here in Canada [arrived recently from Iran] as I’ve mentioned 10 times to everyone before. And today we took a trip with them to Burlington, where my cousin’s aunts live. So that’s where I am right now, I haven’t just suddenly disappeared. =P I’ll post some recent photos soon!

Sadness, shock, and disbelief. An era in the history of music is over. Rest in peace Michael Jackson, I hope you find the peace now that you never seemed to have found in your lifetime.
Ideas have been brought to light. Actions have been taken. Words have been said. Covers have been blown. I can’t help the feeling that many people are now beyond the point of no return. If a change doesn’t come now…. well, I don’t even want to imagine the kind of Iran we’ll see after this. It would be a true nightmare.
The threatening speech from the supreme leader today indeed sounded like an ultimatum. I fear the shape of things to come, but I prefer not to think about the fear. I have hope……I still have hope.
I take a great deal of comfort in the fact that we’re not alone……

“We have put together a video of our Milestone 2 run, which we completed this past Monday, June 1, 2009. This particular run had our PR2 alpha robot navigate through eight doors, and plug its power cord into nine outlets. In this video, you can see the various challenges our robot faced, such as a crowded office environment and the abrupt appearance of a human obstacle. We nearly sabotaged the run early on. Folks around the office were eager to track the progress of the robot, so many people ran their own monitoring programs on the PR2. This caused an increase in CPU load, starving the navigation software. Nonetheless, the robot was able to continue with the run, albeit more slowly and cautiously.”
