The million year old blog
6 Nov
Ok I’m in such a hurry to post this log, and I’m so bloody excited right now, that I don’t even know where to being. Ummm, ok, there’s a 30 second demo competition held by Intel, and 5 of the best demo-groups out there have been invited for the challenge. One of these groups is of course our beloved ASD. Voting for the demos is done through this website, so guys and gals, GO FOR IT, ASD RUUUUUUUUUUUULEZ! 🙂
I also have to add that I sincerely wish all the best for ASD, because their demo honestly blew my mind. AGAIN! 🙂

Whaaaaaaaaaaa?? Lets see!
Me just voted! 🙂
ASD and Conspiracy, both great. ASD one was better though.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh lets go for iiiiiiiiiiitttttttttttttttt ASD YEAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! 😀
Here’s my vote:
ASD + Fairlight = Awesome
Conspiracy + Farb-something = Pretty darn good
MFX = What the heck was that anyway?
WWOWW NICE! Lithography rules!
Lithography it is. All hail ASD. 🙂
I have to add, I liked the Fairlight demo and the Conspiracy demo as well, but I relly didn’t like the mfx demo and the Farbrausch demo.
Actually I don’t find the Fairlight demo that cool, but I like the conspiracy demo and the ASD demo.
Hey guuuuuuuys vote ASD! 🙂
But everything aside, the demo is fantastic!
30 seconds of pure joy. Oh yes. Thx ASD.
I only wish this demo was longer (lithography) it’s ass kickin’!
This has to go longer than 30 seconds, it really needs to!
Tactical battle loop and lithography, yeah.
ASD demo is far better than the rest.
Lithography is basically making the best out of the 30 seconds. Good job ASD. I like the rest of them too. Except for the Torpedo one. That really doesn’t offer anything.
Yeeha the best 30 seconds demo ever! (well I don’t know how many exist anyways) but this is fantastic. Well done ASD.
ASD rules indeed. 🙂
Duality was nice too, but Lithography was super.
by the way…
this just popped in my head a few seconds ago: if you feel like doing a 30s demo/intro yourself, there are various demotools available which don’t require much of coding skills (some offer expansion thru shader code/effect code, afaik). here’s a list (afair 🙂 ):
– werkkzeug by farbrausch
– addict2 by conspiracy
– fairlight has something too (but i’m not sure)
– moppy productions too (demopaja?)
there are probably other tools aswell. you can imagine, it’s some sort of realtime-3d-studio-with-timeline-and-texturegenerator-and-stuff-and-things.. eh .. basically. it needs some time to get used to it, tho .. background in using 3ds-like software and a good idea to start with is another point. but .. well .. it makes a nice time-waster, anyways.
Sounds interesting! 🙂
Yeah sounds pretty cool actually. Thanks Genox for the info, would be worth checking out.
