The million year old blog

So in case there’s anybody out there who doesn’t already know, in the past week I’ve been busy knitting up a new online tool which I’m calling Verse. It’s a wiki / scrapbook / data collection tool, which in time me and fiends will hopefully fill up with interesting stuff. And if you’re interested in adding content, you can easily sign up and do so.
I’ve tinker with the code quite a bit, and there are tons of capabilities that may not be very obvious right now due to the fact that there’s not enough content to display everything, but I have added some information to the help page. Both HTML and wiki syntax are allowed in every page. If you’d like to know how a certain something is done, you can just check out the source code of the page that contains the element you’re looking for.
So…. check it out!

WOW. SPEECHLESS.
(and you've just proven how much stuff there is still to be learned)
very nice. can't wait to see where you take this…might give a few 'semantic' networks a run for the money.
now if there was just a way to auto import content via stealth.
how big is this server? can we load it up? 🙂
=) Hehe… oh this is really not that major as of yet, just on a normal shared hosting [it's an unlimited space hosting, but they have policies about number of files… which doesn't really matter that much in this case.. =P] I didn't seriously think about migrating stealth/NSA data to it as of yet, even though it's been in the back of my head.
I think that for quickly collecting links to resources on the web and so on, I'm still going to use Twine. But for creating idea threads, organizing thoughts.. notes… learning steps and things like that, I'm going to use Verse instead. The whole idea for this came to me because I basically didn't feel like having the more personal stuff on twine anymore.
And yup it does have some semantic capabilities so far, and I'm working on coding up more features. Right now it has a lot of features that can be triggered and used via the wiki syntax… I'm documenting them in the help page as I go. There's RSS embedding, Google Maps embedding, Audio/Video extensions… and much more stuff. =)
