Tomorrow morning @ 7:44 Toronto time, the new Persian calendar year 2568 [1388] begins. Apparently this will be a year of the “Cow”, which supposedly means that it’s going to be a good year. =) Well I really do hope so! Cause from what I see… some very important events may occur in this year! 😉
Happy New Year Everyone, with all the best wishes from your little blue friend. =)

HAPPY NOROOZ ~Aa!!! Year of the Cow, huh? How do you say MOOOO in Persian?
Just doing a little poking around, it’s also the year of the Cow on the Chinese Calendar:

And I found this to add to Kurt’s non-Mesopotamian understanding of Persian History:

Oddly, it seems these are the only two cultures that celebrate the New Year with an animal association, and doubly odd is the fact that this is the Year of the Cow in both cultures!
Have a great day, and,

@ fishy: Haha… thanks a lot fishy, happy Norooz to you too. Moo in Persian is MOOOOOOOOOO! 😉
Hope this will be a great year for us all… and oh btw that sentence is in Arabic. =P 😉
Have an awesomely happy Norooz Aasemoon! 🙂
Happy new year girly, have yourself a great time! ^_^
yeah–sorry ’bout the Arabic–I can’t find that link Kurt had for translating into Farsi, and these were the closest squiggles I could find at the Hallmark store…
@ fishy: =D Well it’s almost impossible to tell Arabic and Persian apart if one doesn’t speak either. The letters are the same! [With some extras in Persian.] =)
